Police radar and laser speed guns can be extremely inaccurate. Not only are they subject to user error caused by inexperienced police officers, their accuracy can also be compromised by environmental factors, multiple vehicles or other moving objects in the area, the speed and movement of their patrol car, and the angle that they use to measure vehicles speed.
Not only is the equipment inaccurate, but the officers themselves are usually bias due to the fact that their department is atleast partially funded by the citations that they write. The CHP (California Highway Patrol) is almost entirely funded by the fines that their officers issue.
There are so many ways to cheat the current system, so it’s not surprising that so many tickets are issued by law enforcement agencies across the country.
Environmental Factors
There are many environmental factors that could greatly effect the accuracy of the police radar guns. Since radar and laser reads the speed of a moving object they can be greatly affected by the movement of the police cruiser. If they are shooting radar while moving behind a moving car, their reading could be affected by the speed of their cruiser and this can even more true if they are measuring the speed of an oncoming car. It is extemely difficult to calibrate the constantly changing speed of their car to their radar gun, so they most likely won’t have an accurate speed reading if their vehicle is moving as well. That’s why most officers prefer to hide and shoot radar or laser from a stationary position.
Wind, rain, and snow can also greatly effect the speed readings that they can receive and so can all the electrical equipment in their car.
Radar/Laser Positioning Issues
The radar or laser speed guns work in a line of site manner, neither can bend around curves nor can they follow the contour of the hilly terrain. If the gun is not properly positioned, it may seem to clock the next approaching car when it’s actually clocking another car in the background.
Look-Past Issues
Even if the officer aims his gun properly, the radar gun is still subject to the look-past error. This is caused when the radar passes a smaller vehicle in the front and hits a larger vehicle behind the smaller one. The smaller vehicle only sends back a small amount of the radar waves and the bigger truck sends back a bigger signal. Thus the speed of the larger vehicle in the back is being measured and not the smaller vehicle in the front.
It’s a common mistake among officers to think that their radar reading will always be measuring the closest vehicle and not another vehicle thats further away. There are times due to geographic and traffic conditions that the closest vehicle is not the one being measured. Generally larger vehicles give off large signals and can have their speed measured from further away. Vehicle Interference Issues
This type of error usually occurs when an officer is using his radar or laser gun from a moving police cruiser. The traffic ahead of the cruiser can confuse the radar or laser gun’s estimated speed of the patrol car. These moving radar or laser guns calculate the target speed by subtracting the speed of the patrol car from the speed of the cars in front of them. These type of readings are subject to 5-10 mph inaccuracy, which can cause an erroneous speed reading which can lead to a speeding ticket. Slower vehicles can also throw off the speed reading if the officer is behind the vehicle in question, that’s why it’s always more accurate for the officer to measure a vehicle’s speed when he is behind them with his own speedometer rather than his laser or radar gun.
Cosine Issue
A cosine error is caused by a stationary object on the side off the road. This object could be a building, a broken down car, or even a sign. This stationary object can reflect radar signals which can interfere with the reading on the radar gun. If this object reflecting the radar signals was straight ahead on the road, it wouldn’t interfere with the reading much, however if the object is located at the right angle it might interfere with the reading of the moving patrol car’s speed (making it less) and thus the car in front of the patrol car would be measured higher than the actual speed.
Double Bounce Issue
Radar works when microwave beams are reflected off of objects. Sometimes the reflection occurs accurately and other times there is a bad reading where they are actually measuring several objects rather than just one vehicle. This can either make their reading higher or lower than their actual speed.
Reflection Issue
Police radar guns mounted inside of police cruisers can be reflected off of the rearview mirror making the readings inaccurate. Street signs can also effect the readings on police radar guns.
Issues with Laser Guns
Police radar guns are far more accurate than the traditional radar guns. However they are only accurate to 1000 feet. At 1000 feet the laser beam is around 36 inches wide which can accurately applied to a single vehicle. However, at 2000 feet the beam expands to 72 inches wide and becomes far less accurate. It’s also more likely that they will be measuring the speed of another car at this distance. So if you are pulled over by a laser gun, find out the distance and if it’s over 1200 feet than you have a far chance of fighting it due to the inaccuracy at this range.
Generally officers target a front or rear license plate. If you don’t have a front license plate, they will try to target a headlight which is far less accurate and more prone to errors and false reading off of other cars.
Also the angle at which the laser hits the car will effect the reading. If the car is hit head on it will have a more accurate reading than if it were hit at a 45 degree or 60 degree angle.
Get a Good Radar/Laser Detector

Make Money from Textbook Arbitrage
Since the college book stores have such a large markup on their textbooks this leaves an opportunity for stuents to make money off their system.
Here is what to do:
When the semester starts go to your college bookstore and get the prices of all your books. Go online and buy your books with the cheapest price you can find new or used. It’s a good idea to end up with at least a $30 difference between the price of the online store and the bookstore. So if a used math textbook is $68 at the bookstore, try to buy it for $38 online.
Now that you got all your books for a cheaper price continue on with the semester until the end. You are already ahead of the game because you paid less than full price on your books.
At the end of the semester the bookstore will start buying books back from students. Most college bookstores don’t ask for receipts when buying books back from students. So go to the bookstore and see how much they’ll give you back for the book. Remember that math book you bought for $38, you might sell it back to them for $53. You earned $15 -not bad- but say if you sold them 5 books then that will be a total of $60 that you made
Let’s assume that the bookstore will only buy the math book for $33, this means you lost $5.

Things You Will Need in College
FAKE ID
If you are under 21 years old, it would be super beneficial to have a fake drivers license. Most college and fraternity parties allow underaged people to drink alcohol, but a fake id will allow you to go to bars, night clubs, and purchase alcohol at liquor and grocery stores.
This will also allow you to make some extra spending money through buying money for your friends and having a slight markup on the price.
Be sure to get a quality fake drivers license from a reputable site which uses proper hologram and barcode technology.
If you have anything that you want to keep safe or you don’t want to get caught having then I would suggest getting a small safe to place under your bed. Things occassionally get stolen in the dorm rooms and campus security may have the right to search your room without your consent. There are tons of businesses near most colleges that want to advertise on campus and sell goods or services to the students. However most colleges won’t allow these businesses to solicit on the campus themselves and will charge them with trespassing if they do so.

Doing this once would often boost these businesses sales between 25-40% and they would make thousands of dollars more in sales within a few days, sometimes even within a few hours. There are tons of scams that bartenders and waiters can pull on both their customers and on the establishment where they work. They range anywhere from simple to elaborate. Sometimes the restaurant or bar is in on the scam, other times they are the ones being scammed and the customers are not even cheated.
These scams range anywhere from cheating customers by over charging them for drinks and or food items, adding additional items on their bill, increasing the tip amount on the credit card receipt, and stealing their credit card number or even running additional charges on their card without them knowing.
They can cheat the bar or restaurant by not actually ringing up drinks or food that was sold to the customers, over charging customers and pocketing the different, or even seating entire groups of people and charging them without even ringing them up so that they can keep the money.
Some waiters or bartenders only make $40-60 a night doing these scams, but some that work at large, busy establishments can make up to $400-500 a night if they are good at what they do.
So how do they pull it off?
They certainly don’t just sit around and wait for the perfect opportunity to drop out of the sky. These scammers will actually help and sometimes force customers to make certain decisions to help facilitate their scamming, often times without them even knowing.
Create Opportunities to Work Your Favorite Angles
Convince successive guests to order the same items, thus giving yourself the opportunity to re-use checks. This is an easy sell, they just make these items up as tonight’s special and offer them a low price.
Convince guests to order the items that you can get your hands on without a ticket and which cannot easily be tracked by the restaurant.
Convince guests to purchase an item that you need to complete a profitable maneuver, if you have a receipt for two sirloin steaks and two people just sent sirloin steaks back to the kitchen on the other side of the restaurant, you want the next two people to buy these two steaks that were already sent back and you want to reuse the receipt that you had from earlier that night.
When you want cash, convince customers to pay cash by either saying that the credit card machine is broken or their card was declined. If you want a credit card number or to make additional charges to their card get them to pay by credit card.
Cheat if you have to. If push comes to shove and no one is taking your suggestions, 80 competitive items until you get the order that you want: “I’m sorry, Ma’am. We just ran out of vodka, can I suggest a local draft beer instead?”. You would be surprised how well this works.
Blend in. Maintain a low profile by suggesting inventory that is difficult to track. If you are skimming the bar, the draft beers will be less traceable than the bottled beer. If it’s coming from the kitchen, move inconspicuous entrees that can be quickly and easily prepared, rather than steak or complicated items that take longer to cook.
Play it off. If you’re not careful, you might just make Employee of the Month. Suggestive selling is too much work for your average waiter, so your manager will be delighted to see you taking the initiative.
Other Tricks
Keeping the extra receipts with their credit card information or writing down the numbers so they can be sold later on to a third party.
Getting them to sign their credit card receipt in pencil so that you can easily write in a higher tip amount after they have left the restaurant.
Giving them a copy of the recipt without the tip amount and keeping the one with the tip amount so that you can write it in later for any amount you want. Including the tip as part of the bill without telling them so they leave a separate tip.
Peter Francis and R. Chip DeClinkta, two notorious waiters and bartenders, from New Orleans - the corruption capital of the America, have come up with a book that outlines all these scams. Their book, How to Burn Down the House: The Infamous Waiter and Bartender’s Scam Bible, is their collective collection of scams that they have picked up over the 25 years that they had both working in the Bourbon Street bar and restaurant industry.

I also found this video below of how bartenders can pull off simple scams of making weaker than normal drinks without the customers realizing it. Sometimes these bartenders do this to make extra money for the bar or sometimes they do this so that they can pocket some of the money from the drinks without the bar knowing about it.
So who makes good targets? A guy out on a date trying to impress a woman, a group of guys out on a business dinner, or a drunk guy is not likely to dispute a higher than normal bill. They make easy targets.
So how do you protect yourself from these scams? Always watch the waiter or bartender closely, make sure that they are giving you what you are buying, don’t let them decide your order- pick what you want and not what they suggest, check the bill carefully and make sure that it’s accurate, pay cash or pay credit card (and keep an eye on the waiter while he is ringing you up), and always re-check the bill before you sign for the credit card receipt, always use a pen, check to see if the tip has already been factored into the cost of the bill, and write the tip amount so that it cannot be changed. At the end of the month overlook your credit card bill and make sure that there are no unknow charges.

Most marijuana growers raise plants solely to harvest the buds. What is Hashish?

How to Make Hash

You will also need a mirror or a piece of glass to collect the trichomes on after they pass through this screen and a paint scraper or something similar to push the plant material across the screen.
The plant matter used for flat screening should be dry, but bone dry. If the material is crumbling than some of the regular plant matter will pass through the screen and contaminate the trichomes.
First put the screen on top of the mirror or piece of glass and then place the plant material on the screen. Using the paint scraper, gently push the plant material back and forth across the screen. Using minimum pressure on the material will produce the best hash. The first layer of powder that passes through the screen will be the most pure and potent.
The plant matter must be in contact with the screen to remove the trichomes, thus its almost impossible to get pure hash through the flat screen method. The hash produced using this method usually also contains small bits of plant matter. The Flat Screen method generally contains more contaminates than any other method, however its the easiest and cheapest way to make hash.
Tumbler Method
There are tumbler machines designed to remove trichomes from plant matter by spinning them inside of a steel drum with a round screen that the plant material is tumbled against. It’s a machine that uses the same principal as flat screening, except the machine tumbles the matter instead of rubbing it. This ensures a higher quality of trichomes which have less contaminates than the regular flat screening method.
The most common plant tumbler machines are the Pollinator or the Scuffbox.
With this method, lightly fill the drum with dry plant materials (remember not too dry) and turn the machine on low. Only let the matter run in the machine for a few minutes to prevent the material from breaking apart and the plant matter from mixing with the trichomes. The longer that the material runs through the machine the more likely you are to get contaminates.
You can collect the hash-powder and then run the machine again to produce a lower grade of hash. Depending on the quality and quantity of original material, you can do this a few times, with each grade containing more contaminates.
If your skuff contains a lot of larger leaves, you may want to put a rubber ball into the drum after the first collection to help rub the surface against the screen. The Blender Method
Unlike the Flat Screen and the Tumbler methods which uses screens to filter out the trichomes, the blender method uses the principal that the resin trichomes are heavier than water, while the other plant material is lighter than water.
The blender method uses ice cold water and shaking to dislodge the trichomes from the plant matter. Ice cold water makes the trichomes brittle, causing the resin to solidify and making it easy to snap off from the rest of the plant mater. The trichomes are heavier than water so they will sink to the bottom of the blender, while the rest of the plant material floats to the top.
To make hash using the blender method you will need a blender, ice cubes, a reusable metal coffee filter or silk coffee filter, a large glass jar and paper coffee filters.
Fill the blender about half-way with plant matter, then cover with cold water and add a tray of ice cubes. Blend for 45 seconds to a minute – the mixture will become green and frothy, like a smoothie. Pour this mix through the metal coffee filter into your glass jar. Run more water through the filter to make sure you haven’t missed any trichomes.
Once your jar is full, put it in the fridge to settle for a minimum of 30 minutes. You should be able to see a white colored substance settling on the bottom of your container – those are the trichomes. Carefully, so you do not disturb the trichomes, pour off or siphon off about two-thirds of the green water.
If you have more plant matter to process, do it now and filter into the container you just drained. Return to the fridge, allow to settle and siphon again. When you have processed all your plant matter, add a few ice cubes to the container and let settle one last time.
If you want to increase the purity of your product you can carefully put this settled mixture back into the blender for a final mix and separation. This may or may not be necessary depending on your preference.
Pour the final mix of water and trichomes through a paper coffee filter. The water will pass through the paper but the glands will not. Drain well and allow to dry. You now have dried resin glands ready to be pressed into hash.
The Bubble Hash Method
The ice-water filtration technique has quickly become a very popular way to make hash. This method combines the best of the screen and blender methods, this method uses ice-water to make the trichomes brittle and agitation to knock the heads off and straining the mix through filters for increased purity.
Hash made in this fashion is sometimes called “bubble hash” - because it is so pure that it actuall bubbles when heated! This is a sign that the hash you are smoking is very pure. Well-made bubble hash is a very potent product – a tiny piece will produce enough billows of smoke to get a small crowd high.
The two main commercial ice-water filtration systems available are “Bubble Bags” from Fresh Headies and the Ice-o-lator, another product developed by Mila. Both operate on the same principle of using cold water and filtering bags to isolate trichomes. You can also make your own kit by acquiring mesh of the appropriate sizes and carefully sowing it into bags of strong material.
In order to make bubble hash you will need a kit with filtering bags, two impeccably clean five gallon pails and a hand mixer. The exact method can vary depending on which system you’re using, but the essentials are the same. The Ice-o-lator uses two filters to screen out contaminates, leaving the trichomes caught in the second filter. The bubble bag kits from Fresh Headies contain either three or six colour–coded bags, and allow you to simultaneously make different grades of hash.
To start with a bubblebag kit, place your plant matter into one of your five gallon buckets. Use up to 100 grams of dry plant matter, or double that weight if it’s fresh or wet.
Because ice makes the trichomes brittle, add plenty - at least six ice cube trays. Then fill up the bucket with cold water. Leave a few inches at the top so you don’t splash too much when mixing.
Use the hand mixer to blend continuously for 15 minutes to one hour or more. Mixing longer will produce a higher yield that will be slightly less potent. The mixture will become green and frothy. You should take breaks every so often to let the mixture settle.
When done mixing, allow the mixture to settle for at least 30 minutes. If the ice has melted, add more. If possible, put the pail in the freezer, or outside if you live in a cold climate – you want that water to stay cold!
Now put your “work bag” into your second bucket. This bag should have a screen size between 200 and 250 microns, the one from Fresh Headies is 220. Pour your frothy green mix into the work bag in the second bucket. Slowly lift out the bag and squeeze out the water. Set aside the work bag with the green matter for a second rinse.
Now you have a bucket full of green water which contains many trichomes, as well as other contaminants. Everything that was smaller than 220 microns is in that water.
Arrange the other bags inside of the now empty bucket. Put the bag with the finest mesh in the bucket first, then place the bags with larger screen sizes inside the first one. With the Fresh Headies three bag kit you put the 25 micron bag in first and the 73 micron bag inside of it. You’ll get fine hash if you just use one bag with a screen size around 73 microns.
Now you carefully pour the green water into the bucket with the bags. Then you slowly lift out each bag in succession, being sure to give them time to drain. If you’re using a 25 micron bag it will drain very slowly – be patient. Squeeze out the excess water from each bag after it is drained.
You will now have a brownish sludge at the bottom of the bags. Remove it with a credit card or spoon to a plastic bag. Blot the sludge with a towel to remove excess moisture, and let it dry out for at least 12 hours. You might want to wait up to a week for it to fully dry and cure, if you are that patient! Be sure that your product is entirely dried so as to avoid mold problems later on.
You will get less product from the 25 micron bag, but it will have a unique and potent affect when consumed. Bubble bag creator “Bubble Man” speculates that these are the smaller trichome heads – not immature, but simply the smaller heads associated with Sativa strains. He argues that Indica strains have larger trichome heads, and that Sativa strains have smaller heads on longer stalks. Crosses between these two types doesn’t produce medium sized trichomes, but rather a mix of the large and small. This theory seems to be borne out by results, but much more research needs to be done.
Now go back and give the green matter in the work bag a second rinse, to be sure that you get out every last trichome!
The yield from 200 grams of skuff is around 6 to 20 grams, with an average yield around 10 grams. The quantity of hash produced depends in large part upon the quality of your original material. The Pressing Process
The previous four techniques leave you with a product that, once dried, looks similar to sand. This “sand” is actually a collection of trichome heads and stalks. This powder is a potent cannabis extract, this raw product is sometimes jokingly referred to as “hippy crack.”
The final step to making hash is to press this powder into a solid mass. The powder should be completely dry before pressing. If it stored damp it can become moldy, ruining the product. So be sure it is totally dry! If you put it into the freezer for a while the water inside will coagulate on the surface as ice and can then be blotted off.
To press the powder you will need heavy plastic wrap, cardboard, newspaper, a frying pan, a heavy rolling pin and a tile or marble surface for rolling.
Cut the cardboard to the size of the hash bar that you want to make. Make a bag around the cardboard, then remove cardboard. Fill the bag with dry trichomes, seal and wrap in several layers of wet newspaper. Place bundle in frying pan on very low setting. Turn your bar often and unwrap to check if all the trichomes are melted. Don’t let the newspapers dry out or catch on fire!
Once melted, remove from frying pan, leave wrapped in newspaper, and transfer to the rolling surface. Using the rolling pin, press and roll from the center out. Continue doing this all the way around your bar for 30 to 45 minutes.
Unwrap newspaper and allow to cool in freezer for at least one hour. Then unwrap from your plastic. You now have some awesome hash!
Advantages with Hash
Hash can be either smoked or eaten. It can be more potent than most strains of marijuana and can give you a better, cleaner high than smoking bud.
Hash is easier to conceal and hide than regular marijuana and can be discuised as something else.
Hash is harder to come by and less common than marijuana which makes it in higher demand and more valuable that regular marijuana.
Hash allows you to use parts of the harvested plants which are normally thrown away so this can make you more money that selling just the buds alone and provide you with more products to smoke.
Hash lasts longer and has a much longer shelf life than regular buds. An oily block of hash has a very long shelf life and can be wrapped in polythene so that it will last for years!
Back in the 1980s local telephone carriers across the country set aside the telephone prefix, 976, so that companies and individuals could set up premium phone services where they could charge a high per-minute or per-call rate to anyone calling into these numbers.
These 976 numbers are exactly like 1-900 numbers except they are generally limited to the local calling area. So unlike 1-900 numbers which are national these 976 numbers only work within the same area code.
However these 976 numbers have a big advantage over 1-900 numbers. The 976 numbers are one easier to dial than 1-900 numbers (both intentionally and accidentally), less people know about 976 numbers and thus don’t realize that they will be charged when they call these numbers, and these 976 numbers appear no different than normal residential or business phone numbers.
So get a 976 number and NOT a 1-900 number, this scam won’t work well with a 1-900 number, but it works great with a 976 number.
Only Still Available in Certain Areas
In some areas 976 numbers are no longer available and have been completely replaced by 1-900 numbers, however these 976 numbers are still available in many local areas.
On the west coast, the 976 service is operated by SBC/Pacific Bell/AT&T Telephone and is known as a ‘local 900 service’. This service is only offered within the state of California and to California callers. There is a similar 976 service available in Nevada through Nevada Bell/AT&T Telephone.
In the mid-west, SBC (formerly Ameritech) offers 976 services in Chicago and Detroit.
On the east coast, Verizon operates ‘976′ in a variety of markets. In New York city, Verizon quit the market and ‘976′ transport and billing are operated by smaller private companies in New York Cities.
In the Mid-Atlantic area , Verizon has received permission for the Public Services Commission to cease taking new customers after October 18, 2004. Verizon plans to close 976 operations in Washington, DC and baltimore, MD in June 2005, and in Philadelphia, PA and Pittsburgh, PA in 2006.
Setup the 976 Service
You will need to contact one of the phone companies above and request a 976 number from them. Setting up this service is no different from setting up a second telephone line. There is no special equipment required. It’s normal have a one-time setup fee of around $59-79 depending on your local company and a monthly fee of around $49 which will also give you unlimited local calls. The charges don’t stop there, they generally also charge you one-third of any of the money that you make from the incoming calls.
Setting up the Per-Call Fees
I prefer charging my callers a per-call fee rather than a per-minute charge. You need to keep the per-call fee lower than $2 per call. This is important, don’t be greedy.
The FTC (Federal Trade Commission) requires all 1-900 numbers and 976 numbers which charge more than $2 per-call to provide a free 20-second message at the beginning of the call describing the service, the name of the company providing the service, and the cost of the call. It also must state that anyone under age 18 needs parental permission to complete the call. You cannot start charging until 3 seconds after this message has been completed, which would bot call your bluff and give them plenty of opportunity to hang up.
But if you charge under $2 per call you are NOT required to provide this message and can immediately charge them as soon as the connection is made. I would charge them $1.99 per-call to keep it just under $2 to be safe. Also people are not likely to dispute or even notice a small charge of $1.99 on their phone bill because it is so small.
Since you are only charging $1.99 per call you will need a high volume of callers to make it worth your wild.
Getting Tons of Callers
There are three easy ways to get callers.
1) Call up people and hang up or make a prank call. Most people nowadays have caller id so make sure that your number is not blocked and many of these people will return the call without even thinking about it to see who just called them. Each of them will be charged $1.99 per-call.
2) Get the yellow pages and call businesses such as doctors offices, dentists, and other businesses after business hours. You will reach their voicemail, answering machines, or answering services. Leave them a voice message asking them to return your call and give them your 976 number. You will be surprised how many of them actually do return your call without even thinking about it.
3) Page or text people and ask them to call you at this number. Some websites offer text spoofing so you can make it seem like the text messages are being sent from this 976 number causing them to assume that it’s just a cell phone number.
Provide a Service
To meet FTC regulations you must provide some sort of service. You don’t have to go into details about it or the charges since you are charging less than $2 a call, but you must provide something to them. I would suggest setting up a simple recorded message on an answering machine giving them useless information or either their daily horoscope, any local auto auctions, or on local real estate. It can be anything, but you need to provide them with something to stay within FTC guidelines - even though most people will just immediately hang up.
How Much Can You Make
For example if you get 1000 callers in a month, you will get a revenue of $1990 and then the phone company will charge you $670 (one-third of your billings) for the service and a $49 monthly fee. So you will make a profit of $1271 per thousand callers. Not bad at all!
So 2000 callers will make you a profit of $2542 and 5000 callers will make you $6355. So you can make quite a bit from this if you get enough callers. The cool thing is that you leave voice messages for people to call this 976 number from any phone and it doesn’t have to be from the actual 976 number.
This scheme works really well and it can make great money for you if you pull it off correctly.
