I don’t know about the Latin American coins, but here’s what Wikipedia says about the Icelandic coins:
“Technically, the króna is still composed of 100 aurar, although, in practice, coins less than one króna have not circulated for many years….As of 1 October 2003, Icelandic banks no longer accept the 5, 10 and 50 aurar coins.”
And the Danish coins:
“5 and 10 øre coins were withdrawn in 1989 and are no longer legal tender.”
And the Mexicans (since I’m on a roll):
“The $50, 10¢ and 5¢ coins are rarely seen and largely disliked by users.”

….Wait I know: let’s collect a bunch of pop bottles in a state where the deposit is 5c and then drive them to Michigan where the deposit is 10c!! All those nickels will add up…ask Kramer.

Someone needs to go to Iceland and get like 1,000,000 auran coins so that they can sell them for us to do this trick. It would be cool to be able to by these coins by the thousand off a website.

i want to make coin molds for quarters this way i can melt metal and then make cheap coins the size of quarters for the coinstar machines. i can make good money this way considering that every supermarket from here to timbucktwo has a coinstar.
