State and Federal Identification cards have come a long way in the last few years. My first driver’s license was a simple laminated photo id card with a holographic glossed image of the state name across a basic paper card with an organ donor stamp and basic name and address information.
Today state agencies have began using holograms, seals, barcodes, UV markings, and even embedded microchips to prevent people from making fake ids which would allow people to engage in identity theft or give underaged people the ability to purchase alcohol. They have replaced the traditional plastic lamenated paper id card with thermal laminated PVC plastic.
My first fake id card was a New York Drivers license printed on a bubblejet color printer and laminated with textured plastic. It was rather pathetic. I made it myself and the scary thing is that it actually worked some places. However that was back in 1992 and since then bars, grocery stores, and liquor stores have become more strict with checking ids and spotting fakes.
My next fake id card was a Canadian International Drivers License purchased at a photo store on eighth street in Greenwich Village, NYC, it was much better, it was similar to a photo credit card with a photo mounted beneath a thin sheet of plastic and my information typed across the card. Most stores or bars were not familiar with Canadian ID cards so it worked extremely well.
Several companies out there have been fairly successful at improving their fake (novelty) id cards to keep up with the state agencies which every year are adding new security features to their cards. These fake id companies have began using holograms, seals, and barcodes as well. Some of these companies are even able to encode the barcodes on their fake id cards so they register as being an authentic id card and use the proper algorithms for age verification when scanned at a cash register with an id barcode scanner.
There are several companies that sell fake id cards on the internet. Be careful because several companies out there sell low quality id cards which do NOT match the pictures of the authentic looking id cards shown on their website.

A few additional tips about using fake identification cards:
- Put your fake identification card(s) in a wallet separate from the wallet which carries your real identification card. This will prevent anyone from accidentally seeing your real id card when you attempt to show them your fake id card or vice versa.
- Be sure to put your real first name on your fake id card. This will prevent one of your friends from calling you a name rather than the one that appears on your fake id card. You may decide to use a last name which is different from your actual last name. This is alright.
- If the name on your fake id is different than your real name. Fill your fake id wallet with cards (supermarket savings, credit cards, medical cards, etc.) with the name that appears on your fake id card. This way if someone asks for another form of id with your name on it you can show them one of these items.
- Know the information on your fake id card. Many bouncers will check to see if your id is authentic by asking you your address, date of birth, or even full name. If you can’t answer these questions correctly they will automatically think that you are using a fake id card.
- Make sure that the information on your fake id card is realistic and makes sense! Don’t put your age as 40 if you are only 17 and make sure that your hair and eye color match and the height and weight are in the general ballpark.

Hahaha! When I was 18 years old, I got caught using a fake id because I didn’t know the details on the ID card because I was wasted. I got the date of birth wrong, I got the address wrong, and I even got the name wrong.
Be absolutely sure that you know the information on your card before you use your fake id or it can be taken from you by the bouncer or bartender who checks your id card. Use the same name, the same address, and same dob to prevent yourself from giving the wrong info. Just change the year on your date of birth.

I am also in need of some ID cards but before I took the plunge I spent a few evenings researching the business. From what I can determine, there aren’t ANY legit sites on the internet from which to order from. For every one person who claims a site is legit, there will be twenty people that claim they were never sent anything. The information is out there…..it’s up to you to believe it or not.
I think a policy that any “legit” site should adhere to would be the willingness to send a free sample prior to the customer sending money. The cost would be peanuts and it would change the perception that every single vendor is nothing more than a scam artist.

I would never send cash for anything mail order, only use credit cards.

I will probably be using paypal as the accepted form of payment, but I am not sure about that yet. I need a payment company that won’t drop me due to the nature of the business. I already have a hosting company in Panama, however all IDs will be made and sent out from California. The website is set up in Panama so it won’t be easy to track us down. Don’t know how anyone trusts the ID shop. They claim 24 hour phones, don’t have the correct email on there site, and are shady about answering emails when you finally fudge there email to get to them. They replied to my first inquiry in a few hours, when I asked why they aren’t picking up the phone during “there business hours” I still am waiting for a reply. There certificate for online ordering has been expired for years, the server it was on is shady to boot. NoveltyID is shady with emails as well. If they can’t give a straight answer in an email how could they expect me to send them $100+ and think I’ll get an ID from them.

Before you go and get a fake ID, make sure that your state has not issued a new version of permits and licenses, especially if you’re getting one to say that you’re 18 years old.
There are people trying to pass off these rather legit looking IDs saying that they just turned 18 X number of months ago. What these kids don’t know is that some people check with minors at work who just turned 18 and 21 and automatically are mailed new copies of their licenses and permits, to see if the standard design has been updated by any minute detail. Such as the color and vividness of the ink, to the spacing of the letters and even the batch of numbers in the right hand corner. If it’s fake, we hold the ID and tell you to pick it up at the local police station.
Some kids are so confident that it’ll be accepted just because it scans and has the hologram. It’s all in the very minute details.

If you are looking for a legit Id site, always “google” the id site first before sending your money. Usually shown as a scam.
All these ID Sites started out being legit, but after a while they just build up a clientel and then rip everyone off.
